Interactive Installation: Space Memory Place
Space Memory Place is a collaboration project with my friend Anna Tsuda that aims to reveal the connection between physical items, living spaces and emotional memories.
Me and Anna were both international student, we often talk about items that we brought from our home, and how they trigger emotional stories. We went on interviewed our friends, families and friends of friends and ask them what items they still keep in their rooms and what stories that entails.
All the stories were written by hand from the interviewees and the items they provided are encapsulated in a vacuum bag–as an attempt to preserve these memories.
The viewer are invited to pick up these preserved items and scan the QR code to view the animated hand-written story on the interactive display screen.
